Persistent CHF BC Shadow Candidate gets pledge out of BC Liberal candidate Fatima Siddiqui

(LAKEWOOD HOUSING CO-OP, VANCOUVER) Yes, we have a second political party candidate pinned! Don Clancy, our Shadow Candidate in Vancouver-Hastings, was at Sunday’s all-candidates’ meeting organized by the Lakewood Terrace Co-op. Shane Simpson (NDP), Jeremy Gustafson (Independent) and Fatima Siddiqui were there answering questions in the co-op courtyard (it was such a beautiful day, it seems a shame to be inside and you know what they say – you have to make political hay while the sun shines...). Don was quiet, but persistent and patient and at the end of the day, he got Siddiqui to sign one of our political party candidate pledge forms promising to support CHF BC’s election campaign goals. This is a major coup – to date, BC Green Party leader Jane Sterk is the only other political candidate to take the pledge. Don was so excited he forgot to give the candidate her You Hold the Key pin, but hopped on his bike this afternoon to deliver it in person to her campaign office. So that’s two down, 338 to go with just a week left in the campaign. C’mon, team CHF BC! Let’s do this!
