Blog entry 73: Grill at will -- it’s still BBQ season in BC!

It may be cloudy in Kingston and downright torrential in Toronto, but here on the West Coast it’s still BBQ season and the Key Campaign has elected representatives from every level of government on the menu this weekend. Quebec Manor Co-op in Vancouver is hosting MLA George Heyman (Vancouver Fairview) and MP Libby Davies (Vancouver East) at their salmon BBQ on Saturday. At the same time across town, Misty Ridge Co-op’s 27th annual BBQ will have Burnaby’s Deputy Mayor in attendance. And with sunny skies and highs of 27C in forecast for the next week, there’s still time for your co-op to break out the briquettes and turn up the heat on your local elected representatives. Check out our guide to grilling your MLA.

BTW, Quebec Manor and Misty Ridge are two co-ops who have passed resolutions supporting the Key Campaign. Has your co-op passed a resolution yet? If so, send us an email and let us know: keycampaign@chf.bc.ca. If not, why not share their resolve? Download our sample resolution - and when your co-op passes it, we'll add its name to our list.
