Blog entry 121: CCEC Credit Union shows resolve in endorsing the Key Campaign

To give credit when the credit union is due, the folks at CCEC Credit Union were magnificent hosts to the Key Campaign last night at the Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House.

The campaign team were welcomed like family (and CHF BC is a member) at the AGM of the only B.C. credit union specifically serving co-operative and not-for-profit organizations. We chatted with members, handed out campaign materials and met some incredible people dedicated to economic justice and the co-op movement. The highlight for us was when the membership voted unanimously to support the Key Campaign, passing the model resolution calling on the provincial government to fix the co-op housing crunch.

Why not follow CCEC’s example and show some resolve? Get your co-op to endorse the resolution revolution and let Housing Minister Rich Coleman know you care about seniors, single parents, people with disabilities and other low-income co-op members who need a little help to stay in their homes.
