Three, two, one – Key Campaign BBQs hit the spot!

Two BBQs, three levels of government and one big message -- let’s protect our most vulnerable co-op members with a provincially-funded rent supplement program. That’s the net result from  Saturday’s twin Key campaign BBQs. At Quebec Manor, MLA George Heyman (Vancouver Fairview) pledged his support for the Key campaign. And over at Misty Ridge Co-op at the foot of Burnaby Mountain, MP Kennedy Stewart (Burnaby Douglas) and Burnaby’s Acting Mayor Councillor Colleen Jordan did the same (see in photo below with CHF BC president, Isabel Evans, holding the key). Hat`s off to the co-op organizers at both these communities for turning their annual BBQs into You Hold the Key Campaign events -- thanks to them, we have more support at every level of government.

How about you? Can your co-op pitch in and help us turn up the heat on your local elected representatives? Check out our guide to grilling your MLA.
