Blog Seventeen: Co-op gives campaign cookie-cutter solution to communications challenge

(BURNABY) When you’re launching a campaign, it’s not a good idea to sugar-coat the messaging. But in this case, well... that’s how the cookie crumbles. The You Hold the Key Campaign Team was surprised and delighted to discover its key communications images transformed into delectable delights (at the meeting of Burnaby housing co-ops on March 20). The folks at Halston Hills Co-op made sugar cookies shaped like the iconic key graphic we use in the campaign as well as puzzle pieces – a tribute to the Your Piece of the Puzzle events we stage.

Now, usually we don’t favour cookie-cutter solutions to communications challenges, but I think I speak for the team when I say in this case, one size fits all. Best of all, Lil Cameron and the rest of the HH bunch have generously donated the key and puzzle-shaped cookie cutters to the campaign. So watch out: we might just come equipped with a tray to an event in your co-op communities. Now you really can have your key and eat it too...
