Election Blog Entry Two: Affordable Housing Coalition maker Key points with Province’s Gordzilla

CHF BC Executive Director Thom Armstrong was front and centre yesterday as the Affordable Housing Coalition met with the Province newspaper’s editorial board to talk about putting housing issues at the top of the federal election campaign agenda. Thom and others like B.C. Non-Profit Housing Association Executive Director Tony Roy gave the straight goods on the affordability crisis (including the co-op housing crunch) to Province editorial pages editor Gord “Gordzilla” Clark and reporter Sam Cooper. The meeting resulted in an article in today’s paper and, online, a great video where Tony is interviewed by Clark.

The Affordable Housing Coalition includes members from the Aboriginal Housing and Management Association, B.C. Non-Profit Housing Association, Co-op Housing Federation of BC, LandlordBC, Metro Vancouver Housing Corporation and the Urban Development Institute, Victoria Coalition to End Homelessness.
