CHF BC Essentials - April 12, 2013

CHF BC kicks off election campaign Monday, April 15

You are invited to the launch of the CHF BC election campaign on Monday, April 15, the day before the official start of BC's provincial election campaign. We aim to tell all candidates and parties that they "hold the key" to ensure that the provincial government maintains long-term rent assistance for low-income co-op members when federal housing agreements end.

Time: 11:00 a.m.
Date: April 15, 2013
Location: Lakewood Terrace Housing Co-op
2075 E 12th Avenue, Vancouver

Speakers will include Thom Armstrong, CHF BC's executive director, Anne Davidson, CHF Canada's president, and Vancouver City Councillor Geoff Meggs. The press are also invited.

Please RSVP directly to Don Hauka, CHF BC's election campaign co-ordinator, dhauka@chf.bc.ca or 604-879-5111 extension 134.

All CHF BC members in the Metro Vancouver area are also encouraged to attend our April Member Forum on Monday, April 15 at 7 p.m. You'll get a review of the election campaign launch, information on what we've been doing so far, and a chance to find out how you can help make sure all the parties and candidates get the message.

On the Island, CHF BC campaign representatives, including CHF BC's government relations director, Darren Kitchen and Island director, Patty Shaw, will go to the BC legislative press gallery on the morning of April 15 on behalf of all co-ops in the province to tell the media that the provincial government "holds the key".
