One week to the Fall Education Conference early bird deadline - save $10 off each conference registration now!

There are still spots open and time to take advantage of our early bird discount and other discounts like our "bring a new member for free" offer for our exciting and popular Fall Education Conference on October 28.

In addition to twelve workshops on everything from Co-op Housing Basics to options like The Art of Facilitation or Cannabis in Co-ops, everyone is invited to take part in a plenary after lunch for an engaging conversation about how to find the right balance between the past and the future.

Download the flyer to get all the details and choose your workshops.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Register for our AGM and pay only $300 to attend the Housing Central Conference!

Join us on Sunday November 19 for CHF BC's Annual General Meeting, our 35th! And we now have a special offer: CHF BC AGM delegates, alternates and observers who want to attend the Housing Central Conference on the Monday and Tuesday following our AGM pay only the extra-low rate of $300 (that's over 50% off the price of the full early bird member rate).

Here's everything you need to know to come to our AGM - and, if you like, the Housing Central Conference too:

  1. **New this year - our AGM registration is online** To register a delegate, alternate or observer, click the register button at the bottom of the registration information page.
  2. For the second year, our AGM will be held at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel in Richmond starting at 10:30 a.m. followed by a lunch and plenary featuring keynote speaker Shane Koyczan, where we join with participants in the Housing Central Affordable Housing Conference
  3. An election! We'll be holding an election for five at-large positions on the CHF BC board and one position on the CHF BC Finance Committee. To nominate a candidate, download the candidate's declaration form and submit by Friday, November 10, 2017 at 4:30 p.m.
  4. Call for resolutions: We're accepting resolutions from members for consideration at the AGM, deadline to submit a resolution is 9:00 a.m. on Monday, November 6, 2017.
  5. Members are welcome to stay on after our AGM for a housing "Sector Supper" where we will enjoy special entertainment and celebrate our 35th anniversary with our community housing partners.
  6. If you have registered for our AGM and wish to attend the Housing Central Conference, you can register for the very low rate of $300. Please note, if you've already registered at a higher rate please request a reimbursement of the difference. Get all the details about How to Register. While the conference is focused on all types of affordable housing, we've identified some workshops that have the most overlap with housing co-op members - see the list at the bottom of our AGM/conference information page.

Second Century of Co-operation Awards ceremony a rousing success

On October 3, CHF BC awarded 70 Century of Co-operation Awards in its second ceremony, this time tied to National Seniors Day

The awards recognize housing co-op members whose age plus years of living in a co-operative community add up to 100 or more. CHF BC was inspired by the successful Century of Co-operation Awards program developed by the Co-operative Housing Federation of Toronto.
