Registration for Housing Central Conference 2017 is live now!

Registration is now open for the Housing Central 2017, BC's Affordable Housing Conference!

We're excited to invite CHF BC members to Western Canada's largest affordable housing conference being held from November 19 to 21 in Richmond. The event attracts more than 1,100 delegates from across BC and Canada. This year’s conference will not disappoint, with some of the world’s greatest minds in housing delivering 110 education sessions and 6 inspiring keynotes. Plus we will have more opportunities for you to mingle and network, a new art expo on the last day of the conference and a more interactive trade show. CHF BC members can also register to attend the conference at the member rate.

We'll also be holding our Annual General Meeting on Sunday, November 19 at the start of the conference. Registration for our AGM will open by mid-September. Delegates will have the option to register to come to the "sector supper" after the AGM to share a meal with conference participants from the wider affordable housing sector.

Save the date and plan to join us!

Join us at the Member Forum this September!

It's time to get together with other CHF BC and CHF Canada members at our Member Forum next Monday, September 11. Sign up now to join us for this free event for all members. It's your opportunity to connect with others and get caught up on the latest news from the co-op housing sector. We'll share snacks and beverages, hear reports from our directors and enjoy a feature presentation from our special guest, Katherine Levett, of the BC Co-operative Association's Co-ops in Schools (CIS) program.

CIS is a youth outreach program that links the BC co-operative community with high school and post-secondary school students in a unique tri-mentorship and professional development relationship. Through tri-mentorship, a mentee in one relationship becomes a mentor in another relationship – often to a peer or a younger person.

Learn more about how this program raises youth participation in — and awareness of — the co-operative economy by providing high school and post-secondary students with professional development, career insights, skills, and knowledge. Learn how your co-op might get involved too!

See you there!
