In our first-ever digital-only version of Scoop, our member magazine brings you all the latest news about what we're working on for our members, stories about members like you, and news from around the co-op and affordable housing sectors.

A professional development course on community land trusts for affordable housing

Ever wanted to know more about how Community Land Trusts can help maintain affordable housing and sustainable local development in Metro Vancouver?

Register for the full-day professional development course on Friday, September 9, that features learning sessions and a roundtable discussion. Speakers include CHF BC's Executive Director, Thom Armstrong and Director of Development for the Community Land Trust Foundation of BC,Tiffany Duzita.

You can also reserve a spot for a free public lecture on Thursday, September 8 by Brenda M. Torpy, CEO of the Champlain Housing Trust in Vermont. Both events will take place at the SFU Harbour Centre in downtown Vancouver.

The course and lecture are organized and sponsored by the False Creek Neighbourhood Association's *RePlan Committee in partnership with many local housing organizations including CHF BC, the Community Land Trust Foundation of BCBC Non-Profit Housing Association, BC Housing and Vancity.
