Group Storytelling

Each member of the group will need a piece of paper and something to write with.

Each person writes the beginning of a story on a piece of paper. It can be as little as one sentence or as much as a paragraph! Set a time limit on how long each person can write for, and when the time is up, switch papers.

Keep switching after each person has a chance to write something. Then read aloud the stories you’ve created by working together!

Telephone

Get a group of people together and sit beside each other in a line. The person at the end of the line whispers something to the person sitting next to him or her.

That person whispers the message to the next person. The message gets passed on to each person until it reaches the last person in the line.

This person must say the message out loud. See if the message made it down the line correctly, or whether it got messed up along the way!

After this person says it out loud, he or she moves to the other end of the line and has a turn whispering the next message.
