Connaught Housing Co-op is a four-storey wood frame 'L' shaped building which is surrounded by well-maintained green spaces.

First floor units all feature patios, while second, third and fourth floor units offer large balconies. Each unit includes a large in-suite storage room. Laundry machines are available on the first and third floors. The building also has secure underground parking, as well as a secure bike storage area. The building has one elevator. Pets are allowed (with some restrictions).

The neighbourhood features a series of convenient shops and services, including two general stores, two large grocery stores, a Canadian Tire, several coffee shops, a dry cleaning shop, and hair salons. The False Creek # 50 bus & Olympic Village skytrain station at West 6th and Cambie connect the area with the downtown core, while bus # 84 connects False Creek to VCC station to the east and UBC to the west. False Creek Elementary School and Granville Island are only 15 minutes away.

Connaught Housing Co-op features a diverse membership, consisting of young families as well as a large number of long-term members. Members have a wide range of occupations and interests.

There are a number of active committees in the co-op in addition to its Board of Directors. These include:The Blockwatch Committee, Social Committee, Finance Committee, Landscaping Committee, Participation Committee, Recycling Committee, Membership Committee, Policy Committee, Newsletter Committee, Parking Committee and Welcome Committee.

All members are required to participate in the co-op.  For example, members can volunteer on the Board or active committees.  Members are also required to complete cleaning chores and actively participate in seasonal co-op-centred activities.  Lastly, all members are required to attend scheduled General Meetings (GMs) and Annual General Meetings (AGMs), where they will learn more about the co-op’s direction and vote on matters affecting its future.

Download and complete our application and send it to our co-op office address, along with (a) your non-refundable application fee cheque of $10.00, (b) a cover letter introducing yourself to the co-op, and (c) a copy of your most recent Notice of Assessment showing the minimum annual income required.

Additional Information:

All members must have valid personal contents insurance for their units at all times updated yearly; also members must obtain automobile insurance for cars housed in our parking lot.
