Sapperton Terrace is a four storey wood frame apartment building with fifty-one units. Our units include one & two bedroom apartments, along with three wheelchair accessible units.

First floor and some second floor units are ground level.  These units have a large patio and garden area. The rest of the second, third and fourth floor units have nice sized balconies. Also top floor units on the third and fourth floors have wood burning fireplaces. Each unit includes in suite laundry and a large storage locker located in the secure underground parking area.  We also have limited amount of parking spaces in the underground lot, one per unit. Upon availability one additional stall may be requested from the Parking Committee.  The building has one elevator for use by all members.  Pets are allowed (with some restrictions).

The neighbourhood features a variety of shops and services. Including Royal Columbian Hospital, and a large amount of medical offices, walk-in clinic, and a Biomedical lab. There is a 7-11, bakeries, Starbucks, and much more all steps away. About 10 minutes walking distance is a Save-On-Foods & TD Canada Trust, as well as Sapperton skytrain station.

Sapperton Terrace Housing Co-op features a diverse membership, consisting of younger families, single occupants, as well as a large number of long-term members. Members have a wide range of occupations and interests. Our Co-op operates on the principle of open membership. That is, an individual or family will not be discriminated against because they are member of particular race, religion, political party, or because they have a handicap, are of a certain age, or have a particular sexual orientation. Individuals and family will be assessed on their own merits, not as a representative of any group to which they happen to belong.

It is mandatory for all members to participate in the co-op. This means joining at least one committee, doing weekly chores, and joining in other activities around the co-op. Members are also expected to attend scheduled meetings in order to vote on matters affecting the building.

There are a number of active committees in the building besides the Board of Directors, these include: Membership Committee, Gardening Committee, Pet Committee, Social Committee, Newsletter Committee, Finance Committee, Building Committee, and many more.

How to apply

Please click on the green "apply now" link to download our cover letter and application form. The application form is a "fill in and print" type. We keep applications on file for a period of ONE YEAR. We thank you for submitting an application for membership in Sapperton Terrace; however, only those who are selected for interviews will be contacted. You will need to renew your application every year.

Once you have filled out your application form, please mail it to our property management office with: "Attn. Sapperton Terrace Application" on it, along with a $10.00 application fee made payable to Sapperton Terrace.
