This morning at 9:30 a.m. we made the difficult decision to cancel all CHF BC events scheduled for the months of March, April and May, including our April 4 Education Conference and our May 3 Semi-Annual Meeting. This decision was later reinforced by the Province’s ban on organized gatherings of more than 50 people. The ban issued by the Provincial Health Officer extends to May 30, 2020. We will monitor the situation closely and issue further announcements as required.
This notice of cancellation applies to all scheduled conferences, workshops, consultations and other in-person meetings involving CHF BC staff. For meetings already scheduled, we will give our members the choice of cancelling, rescheduling or meeting us online. We are making arrangements to increase our online capacity to facilitate larger and more frequent meetings.
During this time, access to our offices will also be restricted, as most of our staff will be working from home for their protection and yours. We will still be available by telephone, email or online forum. Please do not visit our offices without first making an appointment so that we can consider other options for meeting your needs. As we will be operational during this time, CHF BC can provide support to members via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will respond to you within 24 hours of receipt of your email request. For answers to some common questions during this pandemic, please see our post “Advice to Members on Meetings During COVID-19 Pandemic.”
CHF BC remains committed to offering the highest standard of service to members while demonstrating the regard for public health and safety you have come to expect from us. Thank you for your patience and co-operation as we work through these difficult times together. We look forward to the resumption of our usual events and services when the situation returns to normal.
