Coquitlam fire leaves members looking for housing alternatives

  24 August 2021

Last Thursday night a fire swept through Garden Court Co-op in Coquitlam and members had to evacuate. There were no injuries and most members will be able to get back into their homes by September. However, four families will need to find longer-term housing while they wait for their units to be livable again.

CHF BC calls on housing co-ops in the Lower Mainland that may have two-bedroom vacancies to consider offering them to these members on a short-term basis.
