Housing co-ops are guided by one of the co-operative principles, autonomy. But, autonomy doesn’t mean we don’t look outside our community. Therefore, our theme this conference will be Co-operating Our Way to Inclusive and Sustainable Communities.

This theme will focus on: Cooperatives, Inclusion, and Sustainability.  There is a lot of energy and conversations today about become inclusive and sustainable communities, and engaging in those strategies is one component of moving the dial in a direction where everyone who lives in a co-op feels like they belong into a community.  As cooperators, we want to approach our work in creating inclusive and sustainable communities for our members. It is important that as a Federation, CHF BC provides the information, encouragement and support to our members to support their community.

• Interior Co-op Members: To assist with travel costs, CHF BC will provide a hotel room for all interior co-op members coming in-person.
