The City approved a lease renewal framework in February 2017, but no co-op has been able to come to an agreement with the City since then under that framework. It’s time for a reset!
CHF BC is inviting the co-ops that have leases with the City to attend meetings to review the current situation and re-calibrate our positions. Given that there are about 20 co-ops with short-term or ground rent leases and another 30 with longer-term agreements, it makes sense to hold a couple of meetings. The meeting for co-ops in the second group will take place on February 11, and we look forward to talking together to see how best to proceed in 2019. We know this is still a critical issue for many of our members.
We encourage all co-ops on the list below to send a representative or two. The meeting has now been relocated to Creekside Community Centre (1 Athletes Way) at 7:00 pm (doors to open at 6:30 pm).
Please Note: NEW meeting location! We meet at Creekside Community Centre (1 Athletes Way) at 7:00 pm
