JEDDI in Co-ops Lunch Lab

BC Co-op Association & Alberta Community and Co-operative Association      21 Sep 2022      Online event      Partner/affiliate event

Join a conversation about JEDDI (justice, equity, diversity, decolonization, and inclusion) in co-ops, in service to advancing racial justice from any point in the journey.

September 21 2022, 11:30 am – 12:30pm PDT | Zoom

The BC Co-op Association (BCCA) and the Alberta Community and Co-operative Association  (ACCA) are thrilled that Christine Clarke and Aileen Ling from Freedom Dreams and Aslam Bulbulia from Lightwork and Waterline will be co-facilitating this session.

Each will share a bit about their own JEDDI learning journeys before facilitating breakout rooms where folks can join in conversation spaces for:

  • co-ops at a starting point in the learning journey, or
  • co-ops where there is engagement, from conversations to policy development, and a curiousity about how to deepen the learning and practices, or
  • BIPOC co-ops working towards racial justice

BCCA and ACCA will share resources to support co-ops in enacting practices that build an organizational culture where all voices are heard and celebrated. We would love to hear about JEDDI practices being embodied by co-ops and credit unions and welcome interest in a community of practice that will be launching in the fall.

**This session will not be recorded, however resources and a visual overview of what is noted in the breakout discussions will be shared afterwards.**
