CHF BC knows our members are interested in the environment and sustainability, and we are pleased this Earth Day (Thursday, April 22, 2021), to announce the launch of our Sustainability Report e-newsletter. If you would like to receive these quarterly reports on the latest in environmental sustainability in co-ops, please sign up here.
Please note, if you already get our regular Essentials e-newsletter, we encourage you to fill in the form and request that we send you the Sustainability Report and, if you like also our special new Breaking News newsletter, but there’s no need to check the box to request Essentials.
Our Sustainability Report will bring you the latest on the efforts of our Climate Emergency Task Force, set up in response to a resolution adopted by members at CHF BC’s 2019 Annual General Meeting. You can find our growing list of resources for co-ops’ efforts on our environmental sustainability webpages. One focuses more on sustainability generally, and the other focuses on sustainability measures more tied to our co-op buildings.
If you’re registered for our upcoming Spring Education Conference on Saturday, April 24, you will hear from members of our Task Force as part of the conference morning plenary, and in the workshop, “Working together: Climate Emergency in our co-ops“. We hope many of you will join us and for the many other excellent sessions on topics such as the Rental Assistance Program, Hoarding, Indigenous Reconciliation, Cannabis and others.
