We are sad to report the passing of ML Burke. ML worked for CHF BC as a Seniors Resource Coordinator and led Co-op Connections for Independence, a project funded with an Eldercare grant from the BC Co-operative Association’s (BCCA’s) national Co-operative Eldercare Project. Through this project ML developed a suite of resources on our website that link co-op members with information and tools that help seniors stay in their homes and age with dignity in their communities.
ML lived in Ladner where she volunteered and advocated for seniors and affordable housing. She also wrote a column for the Delta Optimist and North Delta Reporter. While working on the Eldercare project, she met frequently with CHF BC’s Aging in Place Committee.
ML Passed away on January 25. On behalf of our many members who knew ML, we offer our deepest condolences to her friends and family. She will be missed.
You can read a final message from ML in her column published in the North Delta Reporter on January 14, 2020.
