Housing Pets – NEW

Workshop Intro:

Pets can be an absolute nightmare. At the same time, they can make all the difference to your members’ well being and can even enhance your co-op community. Face the nightmares, and discover ways to house people and their pets while building community and saving the co-op unnecessary expense.

2:30 am – 4:45 pm

Co-operative Housing Education Conference – Westin Wall Centre, Richmond.

For more details view the flyer here and to register visit the event listing.

This workshop will provide the tools necessary to make decisions about housing pets in your community. Topics will include liability of the co-op for animal issues, how to screen for responsible pet-owners, what animals can be appropriately housed, what kind of policies ensure responsible care, what animals need from their housing, and how to resolve common animal issues.

Participants will have the opportunity to talk about their own issues and seek suggestions to take back to the co-op. A mix of presentation and group discussion will ensure participants are engaged and leave the session with resolve.
