Shift from responding to change, to leading and inspiring change. This workshop will provide you with a strong foundation for implementing change leadership practices. Learn practical tools to deal with the human dynamics that lead to success or failure in implementing change, and identify concrete steps you can take immediately.

This workshop will empower you to shift from responding change, to leading and inspiring change and will take an interactive, discussion-filled format. Topics will include understanding how change takes place within organizations, preparing your team with tools to understand and embrace change and adopting an organizational life-cycles lens to target change management strategies.

By the end of this session participants will begin to:

  • Identify the difference between change and transition and embrace the principles of change leadership
  • Identify concrete steps you can take immediately to build your capacity to lead, implement and manage change.

 

Workshop facilitator: Mark Friesen

Mark is the Director of Capacity Development at Vantage Point, where he assists not-for-profit organizations throughout BC with strategic planning, governance, and capacity building. Mark excels at assessing governance structures and finding democratic solutions to organizational challenges. At Vantage Point, Mark can be found facilitating new and seasoned not-for-profits at various stages in their organizational life cycle.
