Woodland Park Housing Co-op is centrally located in Castlegar BC, right in between Trail and Nelson BC. They offer 20 two bedroom units and 39 three bedroom units.
Formed in 1982, the co-op was the first of its kind in the Kootenays. Located on seven acres of wooded parkland it is an ideal place for families, with or without children, to live. The convenient south Castlegar location is close to shopping and major service facilities.
Surrounded by mountains, rivers and scenic views, Woodland Park is an ideal community for families to call home. The co-op is a family oriented community with a playground for kids and lots of green space. We have community vegetable gardens.
A housing co-operative should not be confused with low-income or subsidized housing. While the co-op is an affordable alternative, it is not low-income housing. The co-op does have financial standards that must be met to obtain membership.
