Living in a Housing Co-op

Co-op members and their families share the experience of co-op living: everyone should have a place and the supports they need to feel at home.

CHF BC and its member housing co-ops are part of a bigger community of co-operatives.

As a member organization, we provide services, advice, and information to members of housing co-ops.

Aging in Place

As housing co-op members get older, they may face challenges that make it more difficult to continue to live safely in their units, to remain fully involved in their co-op communities and to know where to get support when they need it.

The benefits of aging in place are well-known, but co-ops may need help to support their valued aging members. Whether you’re looking to live independently for longer, or to support your neighbours, we have resources for you.

Youth Committee

The Youth Committee is a way for young members to shape the future of the co-op movement in BC. This newly launched initiative invites youth (aged 16 – 22) to share ideas, raise issues, and influence the work of CHF BC.
