CHF BC announces Camp Rainbow bursaries

  2 November 2005

As part of our effort to support youth in the co-op housing sector, CHF BC will sponsor someone to attend Camp Rainbow’s Advanced Camp this spring.
Camp Rainbow summer retreats offer young people a chance to learn new skills, appreciate new values, and grow as individuals within an atmosphere of mutual support and respect in a beautiful wilderness setting.
Each year, CHF BC sponsors a young person to attend the Camp Rainbow Basic Camp. This funding will continue.
Advanced Camp is for youth who have already attended Basic Camp. It allows Basic Camp grads to heighten the skills they have developed during their initial session. Participants take on greater responsibilities, and are challenged to expand their leadership, self-awareness, and team-building skills in an atmosphere of fun and comradeship.
Advanced Camp will take place at Loon Lake in Maple Ridge over March Break (March 19 – 25, 2005).
To qualify for CHF BC sponsorship, you must be 14 – 16 years old, live in a CHF BC member housing co-op, and have attended Camp Rainbow’s Basic Camp. The selected candidate will be asked to write or speak to CHF BC members about their camp experience.
