Co-operative City Conference links co-ops to City’s green vision

The potential for co-operative enterprise to provide a powerful boost to Vancouver’s vision of becoming the “greenest city” by 2020 is the subject of the Co-operative City Conference on November 23.  The Conference will showcase the many ways a co-operative business model can support sustainability. It will also be an opportunity to talk about concrete opportunities for strategic partnerships between the City and co-operatives to increase sustainability in areas such as:Arts and cultureLocal food systemsAffordable housingGreen industryCommunity energyThe conference will be held in recognition of 2012 as the UN International Year of Co-operatives.
