The Community Land Trust pre-qualifies as a non-profit housing partner in the City of Vancouver

CHF BC is pleased to learn that the City of Vancouver has selected the Community Land Trust Foundation of British Columbia, (Community Land Trust) for its shortlist of pre-qualified non-profit housing partners to manage new City-owned social housing.The Community Land Trust responded to the City’s Request for Qualifications in March. The City was seeking experienced non-profit social housing operators with sound managerial, operational and financial track records and a clear plan for organizational growth to operate City-owned social housing developments. “The Community Land Trust is now part of this select group of non-profit operators,” said Tiffany Duzita, Director of Development for the Community Land Trust. “This designation means we’ll be able to capitalize on opportunities and partnerships in the City of Vancouver to help fulfill our mission to provide and preserve housing for low to moderate income households.”  For more information about the Community Land Trust, please contact tduzita@cltrust.ca.The Community Land Trust serves as the real estate development arm for the Co-operative Housing Federation of BC (CHF BC) for new housing opportunities. It is responsible to expand operations through the development and redevelopment needs of housing co-operatives and other community housing partners while representing CHF BC’s needs to the housing community, the general public and others by establishing and maintaining good working relationships with co-ops, non-profits, private and government housing partners and funders, and community-based organizations whose purpose is to foster the creation of affordable housing.
