Join BC Co-op Association (BCCA) at Solid State on the last Saturday of every month for “Solidarity on Screen” – a series showcasing the best of co-op cinema from around the world.
July’s feature will be Manthan (1976). This is an incredible story of India’s milk co-operative movement, a film crowdfunded by 500,000 Indian farmers, directed by Shyam Benegal. The screening will be followed by a discussion about the key themes of the movie and the importance of film to the co-operative movement. There will be popcorn and snacks!
