Fire at Mountain View Co-op in Port Moody: can your co-op help?

  8 October 2015

On October 7, a devastating fire at Mountain View Co-op in Port Moody destroyed 47 homes. Everyone made it out safely, although some pets were lost. The units affected were one, two and three bedrooms. Displaced members are staying in a hotel for three nights but urgently need to find new longer-term accommodations. Ideally the housing will be located close by to the Tri-Cities area.

If your co-op has a vacancy they can offer to families or individuals from Mountain View, please send an email to mountainview@coho.bc.ca. See COHO Management’s Mountain View fire web page for more details on offering available units.Anyone who wants to make a donation to help those displaced by the fire can go to any Vancity Branch and ask to make a donation to the Mountain View account at Branch 52, account #2067031.
