Members tackle three biggest threats for co-op future at Island Council Meeting

The Vancouver Island Council meeting on May 22 saw a capacity crowd of 26 members from 17 Island co-ops come together for a meeting and a member forum.Members worked together on a member forum exercise to outline the three biggest threats facing housing co-ops on the Island and began to tackle the best ways to prepare. Although members came from diverse co-ops they worked together like members of a single co-op demonstrating a co-operative spirit that should serve Island co-ops well and give them a positive shot at facing the challenges to come.Members will revisit the topic of the three threats and possible solutions at the next Vancouver Island Council meeting on October 15.
