Our Group Buying Program offers significant savings on a wide range of high-quality products and services co-ops use every day.
Appliances
Our special CHF BC pricing means members can take advantage of volume savings even when they have a small order.
We offer province-wide service and delivery through our partner, Trail Appliances. Trail provides high-quality, durable products, including a number of Energy Star options.
Co-ops have access to a variety of appliances through our program: fridges; electric and gas ranges; dishwashers, garburators and hood fans.
Banking & Investing
Housing co-ops with money in the Co-op Housing Interest Pool (CHIP) earn higher interest on the balances in their co-op operating accounts.
CHIP turns several small co-op accounts into one large depositor, making each eligible for better interest rates. With more than $140 million on deposit through Vanity, Community Savings Credit Union, and Coast Capital, CHIP is one of our most popular services.
Cabinets and Countertops
Our group buying partner, Danube Kitchens, offers co-op members more options when selecting cabinets and countertops.
Members can choose from high-pressure laminate or quartz countertops, and melamine or plywood cabinet boxes. Danube can also provide customized cabinets to maximize cabinet space in kitchens with limited room. Regardless of budget, Danube will provide co-ops with the best quality products for your kitchens and bathrooms.

Flooring
We carefully selected our flooring partners—K&A Flooring and CD Contract Division—based on their long-standing experience providing great products and exemplary service to their customers.
Both of our providers offer high-quality, durable options for any budget, including vinyl plank, carpet, sheet vinyl, tile, carpet tile and laminate flooring.
Furniture and Wood Products
CHFBC members get a 10% discount on all Wood Shop offerings.
Wood Shop Workers Co-operative is a worker owned, triple bottom line co-operative that crafts custom wood furniture and millwork for homes and businesses. From shelving units, tables, and bed frames, to full home office design/builds, we work with you every step of the way to fit your needs.
Wood Shop also have their Fairwood line of pre-designed beds and tables, which can also be customized. Other services include cabinetry, metalwork, and engraving.
Heating & Cooling Solutions
Modern, energy-efficient heat pumps allow homes to be comfortable all year round.
They can provide heating in the cold months and cooling when it gets hot, and they can save you money. CHF BC’s partnership with AIRLUX offers members products and services from a locally owned and operated company with a history of working with housing co-ops.
Maintenance Supplies
Working with our commercial partners, RONA and Lowe's, CHF BC offers co-ops a large selection and impressive discounts on many supplies used in co-op home and garden maintenance.
RONA and Lowe’s offer in-store or direct-order options on a wide selection of products, including discounts on many frequently-purchased items such as light fixtures, sinks and faucets, closet doors and more. Discounts include best available pricing on many frequently purchased items.
Co-ops that currently have accounts with RONA or Lowe’s will realize greater discounts across a wider selection of products when they join CHF BC. Members not currently shopping at RONA or Lowe’s may be surprised by the vast product selection and great service.

Waste & Recycling
For over ten years, CHF BC has partnered with Waste Connections (formerly Progressive Waste), a forward-thinking disposal company that uses low-energy trucks and offers an organic waste program.
As a result of our relationship with Waste Connections, our members save up to 40% on waste and recycling services, which can amount to as much as $6,000 per year for larger co-ops. On Vancouver Island, we’re proud to partner with GFL Environmental, a leading North American provider of diversified environmental solutions.
