Will the 2024 Federal Budget—to be released only two days prior—effectively address Canada’s urgent housing needs. What does it mean to build more and better housing?

Canada needs 5.8 million new homes by 2030 to restore housing affordability. According to the Blueprint for More and Better Housing by the Task Force for Housing & Climate, Canada has a historic opportunity to improve housing outcomes for a fast-growing population of homeowners, renters, seniors, young families, students, and precariously housed individuals.
