2022 Winter Learning Opportunities

Our popular winter learning series announced last November continues in the new year.

Whether you’re interested in best practices for your co-op committees or understanding your co-ops financial statements you’ll find our virtual education sessions engaging and practical.

Here are the sessions we have lined up so far:

March 10: What Makes a Good Director?
Good directors make a good board. With a focus on the duty of care and the duty of loyalty this basic primer focuses on how each individual director ensures the board’s success.

March 24: 10 Things to look for in your Co-op’s Financial Statements
Help for the non-expert to understand the financial statement: the single most important indicator of your co-op’s financial health.

March 31: Co-op Housing Essentials
This guide to co-op living is just what you need to update your co-op’s orientation for new members, as a reminder for long-standing members, or even for prospective members at the top of your wait-list.

April 28: Maintenance 101
You need skilled professionals to get great maintenance results, but there is still a critical role for members in looking after your property and buildings.

Day and Time

Workshops take place weekday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. PDT.

Cost

All workshops are $40 per person or $200 for six registrations from one co-op.

Non-CHF BC member rates are $80 per person or $400 for six registrations from one co-op.
