CLT & City of Vancouver break ground on Fraserview Expansion

The Community Land Trust and City of Vancouver broke ground on 140 new units of affordable co-op housing. More than 100 of the 140 homes are designed for families. These include 65 two-bedroom apartments and townhomes and 37 three-bedroom apartments and townhomes.

The combined future developments in Fraser Lands River District will be western Canada’s largest housing co-operative with 418 homes

Community Land Trust Will Build More Than 1000 Affordable Homes on Land Contributed by City of Vancouver

The Community Land Trust (CLT) is pleased to announce it will be building more than 1000 affordable homes in the City of Vancouver, ensuring low-income families and some of our most vulnerable residents have access to suitable housing that allows them to remain in the inclusive, livable city they call home.

These homes will be built on seven sites in Vancouver, making it the largest one-time municipal land investment into the Community Housing Sector in Canada.

New co-op to be part of Land Trust housing development in Vancouver

A partnership of co-op and non-profit organizations led by CHF BC is bringing four sites owned by the City of Vancouver under one roof to build new affordable housing.

If approved by Vancouver City Council on May 15, the partnership’s proposal will create 355 affordable homes for families, seniors and people with a mental illness. The newly incorporated Fraserview Housing Co-operative will operate 161 homes as part of the development.
