The have launched a brand new YES Scholarship Program. The YES believes that all youth should be able to follow their passions, and they are excited to bring this opportunity to their Alumni Participants.

The Community Award program honours excellence and inspiring achievement in community service and leadership. It celebrates British Columbians who go above and beyond in their dedication and service to others. The award recognizes individuals who devote their time and energy to making their communities more caring, dynamic, beautiful, resilient and inclusive.
We live in a world divided by competition, but what would it be like if we thought about co-operating?
Take a look back at what the pioneers of Rochdale, England thought, and the birth of the co-operative movement which has inspired The Youth Excellence Society’s values and organization.
As part of the CHF BC Scholarship process, applicants are asked to write a short essay on a topic related to housing co-ops. The independent Scholarship Committee committee members are consistently impressed with the high quality of insight and writing skills of the applicants.
Last year was no different. They were so impressed in fact that we wanted to share some of their essays will a broader audience.
The YES offers leadership and team building summer camp programs for youth in grades 8-12 at Cowichan Lake on Vancouver Island. Their staff team is made up of a group of change-making volunteers. It is incredibly important to continue to build their teams, and they are now accepting volunteer applications for our 2023 Summer.
Rooftops Canada is seeking 4 qualified candidates to participate in their 6-month Young Professionals (YP) Overseas Placement Program.
